Namco Bandai Splatterhouse is looking tasty if you’re a meat-eater that is. It is a remake of the original Splatterhouse which was released in 1988. The game combines beat ’em up mechanics with survival horror.
The game is filled with blood, bones, limbs etc being put in positions they aren’t naturally suppose to be in. The game seems like a typically hack n slash but I am sure there’s more to it than that. The character design reminds me of Borderlands which means it has a distinctive look. I find it to be eye-catching.
Splatterhouse will be set loose around December time on PS3 and Xbox 360.
Getting a well-earned rest when the worlds about to end.
The 3rd Birthday is a PSP game by Square Enix. It was originally released for Japanese mobile phones. It is a sequel to Parasite Eve with Aya fighting a monster infestation in New York.
This game stands out from other PSP games because of its visuals which look great on the PSP. And it reminds me of the original games.
A unique feature in the game is the ability to see Aya’s clothes get ruined and see her skin get bloodied. This happens when she takes damage. At the moment I am not sure if this makes the game more or less realistic. Either way it makes the game different and visual interesting and you can see her bum in more detail, after all your going to be seeing her back a lot.
The sequel to Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City should be out in Autumn 2011, and it already looks like its going to be another good Batman game and the graphics are looking greatly improved over the previous game, which was very good at the time. These are some screens from the game with a few comments for a bit of amusement.
Dwarf henchmen for hire. Do anything for beer, beatings are free. One sad clown caught red-handed.
Seriously it's not Fallout 3, it's a new game. Raul here told me so.
Question: Have there been any graphical updates to the game engine?
Answer: Fallout 3’s engine was the natural choice for us, given the timeline we had and what we wanted to accomplish with the game. While we haven’t made direct changes to the engine to support enhanced graphics, we worked on the texture resolutions and made performance tweaks.
My Opinion: So it will basically look the same but sharper and smoother, less bugs. Seems like a repackaging of the old game to make cash from the success of Fallout 3.
Everyone who plays games, watches film or even reads books have specific memories that stick with them. These are my gaming memories starting with Resident Evil (PS1) which is also seen in the Resident Evil (GC) remake. Instead of explaining the whole game this will just be a certain moment that still stays with me.
First person shooters these days seem to have got bored with the World War II setting. Which I think still has a lot to offer also there’s still loads of different war settings that could be used Falklands War anyone? The Battlefield Bad Company Series and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series show that there is a big demand in terms of sales and player numbers to warrant more games in a modern theme. Medal of Honor have gone and tried to reinvent themselves with a new setting and by taking the same name of their first ever game Medal of Honor (PS1) which was a WWII first person shooter which some would say, me included made FPS shooters on consoles acceptable. The game is set in Afghanistan where Coalition forces (Americans basically) fight insurgents (Taliban)/Opposing forces (OPFOR). The single player game is being built by EA and the multiplayer part is under the wings of DICE which would explain why it might feel familiar to Battlefield veterans.
Medal of Honor’s multiplayer mode, which I played in the open beta feels like a mix between Modern Warfare and Bad Company I will explain why. These games come to mind because the themes, modes and layouts. The difference is that the actual gameplay because of the modes offered in Medal of Honor make it feel fresh.
A helicopter has crashed somewhere in the Shahikot mountains. These snow covered mountain peaks, called The Valley of the Kings in the local tongue, has been a rebel hiding place since ancient times. Python 1 is inserted to investigate and look for survivors in these eerie surroundings. As they embark from their helicopter they hear the first crackling sound of a sniper rifle roll between the steep mountain sides.
Not that long a go I made some achievements up for Dead Rising 2: Case Zero which I thought would add more gameplay to the arcade game and because the official Case Zero achievements were uninspiring like a lot of game achievements are. You can see my ones here. Anyway with the release of Dead Rising 2 and the achievements that go with it I am pretty disappointed to say the least. I havent bought the game yet but I looked at the achievement list and where’s the creativity?.
I have been playing Dead Rising 2: Case Zero lately and its a lot of fun. I never played the first game Dead Rising but after playing Case Zero I might consider getting Dead Rising 2. Anyway I been messing about and thought I make up some of my own achievements which I have made up while playing the game. If anyone wants to try them out it could add some fun and some replay value.
I have added a quest guide for Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies on Nintendo DS. It is a quest guide for quests #001-184. Some might need more detail added but most should have enough information on how to do the quest.
