Famitsu gives Pokemon Black and White 40/40

Famitsu have scored the latest Pokemon games Black and White, a perfect score of 40 out of 40.

Pokemon Black and White will be released in Japan later this month and everywhere else next year.

I like the Pokemon games but I havent played one fully since Red, Blue, Gold and Silver. Those where the days. Also I guessed years ago that they would name the game Black and White sometime in the future as a joke I even did pictures. Never thought they would do it. There going to run out of different opposites soon. The enhanced edition should be called Grey.

Anyway should be worth playing.

Duke Nukem Forever Reborn

Duke Nukem Forever was first announced in 1997, and became a legendary project for it never likely to be released.

3D Realms went bust in May 2009 thanks to a lack of funding, and was subsequently sued by Take-Two over lack of delivery for $12 million. Take-Two retained the rights to the game. Rumours surfaced at E3 that Gearbox was now in charge of the project.

Gearbox has confirmed that Duke Nukem Forever will be finally released, with boss Randy Pitchford confirming the game is coming next year. Pitchford has confirmed the game will release on PC, 360 and PS3.

In a short movie, the Duke was shown lighting a cigar, saying he’d “hit” a monster with tits and taking a piss in a toilet. Aliens, pig monsters and vehicle combat were also show.

Enslaved goes Gold

Namco have announced that Enslaved: Odyssey to the West has gone Gold, meaning it will ready to be released soon. The Ninja Theory title was announced in an issue of Game Informer last year after its project announcement at gamescom last year. The game is a futuristic version of the old Chinese tale Journey to the West.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West launches on October 8 in the UK for PS3 and 360.

Empire: Total War getting Gold edition

Sega said today that Empire: Total War and Napoleon: Total War are going to be combined in a Gold pack for release later this year. The new edition will be available on October 19 for £30.

Both games and all their DLC will be included in the edition. That means you’ll get Elite Units of the East, Elite Units of the West, Elite Units of America, and the Warpath Campaign for Empire, and The Peninsular Campaign, Coalition Battle Pack, and the Elite Regiment for Napoleon.

Free Weekend of Love

This weekend Love will be going free-to-play from 6am Saturday morning BST and ends on midday BST on Monday. Its is a minimal multiplayer shooting and building game. It is best played with friends in co-op.

You can download the client for it here.

Dragon Age: Witch Hunt Video

BioWare has released a video for Dragon Age: Origins’ last piece of DLC, Witch Hunt. In the DLC, players are treated to the final chapter in the game, and finally find out what happened to Morrigan. Players can import their characters from Awakening, or create a new character for the chapter.

Witch Hunt will be released on September 7 for $6.99/560 BioWare/MSP on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

The Witcher 2 Endings

CD Projekt has said The Witcher 2 will have quite a few more endings than the original game.

There’s 16 endings to be exact.

While multiple endings may not be a new idea, here are some other Witcher 2 numbers to expect:

  • There are three different openings.
  • It has 256 cut-scenes (150 minutes’ worth) where as the original had 130 (53 minutes’ worth).
  • The sequel has over 30 types of armor compared to only five in The Witcher.
  • An extra magic sign has been added.
  • There are only four load screens compared to 700 in the original.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is slated for 2011 on PC. I wont be surprised if a console version gets released eventually.

Remade Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath coming to PS3

Oddworld developer Just Add Water is to release a revamped, HD version of Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath for PS3 next Easter.

This will be the franchise’s first outing on a PlayStation console since 1998’s Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus.

Stranger’s Wrath was originally released in 2005 for the Xbox. The new version will be download-only.

Since word got out that we’ve been working with Oddworld Inhabitants there have been many rumours circulating about what we’re working on… Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too

said JAW boss Stewart Gilray.

The game will ship in 720p and will come complete with normal mapping, self-shadowing, re-mastered dialogue, Move support and additional material.
