I have been trying to get into physical Warhammer for more than 25 years since I played it as a child. The main reason I haven’t until now is the costs involved in the hobby and with the fact video games have mostly overtaken and enhanced what board and tabletop games do. This doesn’t mean they are obsolete, just that there is more competition than ever for peoples time. The social aspect of the hobby is still hard to beat though.
IO Interactive the publisher, and developer of the Hitman franchise have now released their third game in the Hitman trilogy. It’s more of the same but in this case, that is a good thing.
Its that time of the year again but this time it’s different. Most people will not be able to meet their loved ones and fight.
It’s nearly Christmas and not long before the end of 2020 but before it ends I have assembled my Game of the Year list. 2020 was a pretty quiet year for games. There were some big-budget games like The Last of Us Part II, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Half-Life: Alyx. While Cyberpunk 2077 came and is a big disappointment. Crusader Kings III also came out but I purposely avoided playing it.
CD Projekt Red and CD Projekt after a long and troubled development cycle have released their cyberpunk-themed role-playing game. Cyberpunk 2077 is finally out and is bound to divide public opinion if you care about important issues or bugs.
Romero Games and Paradox Interactive have recently released their Prohibition era-inspired game called Empire of Sin. Unluckily Sin is a perfect title for it.
Blizzard recently released its eighth expansion pack for World of Warcraft. Its called Shadowlands and after being delayed by a month finally came out on the games 16th anniversary.
Omega Force and Nintendo have released their newest Hyrule Warriors game today. It’s called Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and is set 100 years before The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Splash Damage, The Coalition, and Xbox Game Studios yesterday released Gears Tactics on Xbox. The game has been playable on PC since April but the new release features new units, enemies, and much more to coincide with the release of Xbox Series S and X.
Microsoft and Xbox have released their next generation of consoles today. There is two to choose from: the 4K compatible Xbox Series X or the disc-less Xbox Series S. Both will play your old games and have access to Game Pass.
