Tribes: Ascend has been updated with several major updates such as new maps, weapons, and much more.
I haven’t played Tribes: Ascend since closed beta because it keeps crashing now but the game seems to be getting better as time goes on. It be interesting to see what it looks like in a years time.

Tribes: Ascend has been updated with “3 new weapons for the Raider class”, “two new skins to the Raider class (Griever and Mercenary)” and “all players may create their own custom servers” with Tribes gold. Various other improvements have also been made.
Patch 1.0.941.0 was deployed on Tuesday 24th April 2012.

The multiplayer Napoleonic Wars DLC for Mount & Blade Warband which I mentioned last month is now available on Steam. It costs £7.99 which is quite a lot for a piece of DLC which could easily be a free mod.

The British games developer and publisher Rebellion has released a demo for the sequel to the excellent Sniper Elite. The demo is now available on Steam, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
Over on the digital distribution site GOG.com two great games are now available for purchase for the low price of around two pints of Fosters. Theme Hospital was released last week while Populous: The Beginning was released today.

Currently the free to play MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online is celebrating its 5th Anniversary which is quite surprising amount of time by modern MMO standards. It runs from 16th April to 30th April and features events, quests, items and much more fun Tolkien related guff.

Just thought I mention that Hi-Rez Studios has official released Tribes: Ascend the other day on the 12th April 2012. It has completed beta testing and is now avialnble for free on PC via digital download.
Tribes: Ascend is so called “world’s fastest shooter”. The game features jetpacks, skiing, vehicles, team-based gameplay using Unreal 3 technology.

Oddworld: Hand of Odd has received a teaser site from game developer Just Add Water. The teaser site only shows the game’s logo at the moment.

I’m a bit surprised to say that not the newest game in the Mount & Blade franchise With Fire & Sword but Mount & Blade: Warband is getting some DLC love. The DLC is called Napoleonic Wars and will likely be familiar to people who have played some of the many mods available for Warband as its heavily influenced by them.
