Stream TERA In Your Internet Browser and My Game Streaming Thoughts

One of the reasons games are not taking seriously.

With the help of Gaikai’s cloud gaming service TERA is now available to play for free for thirty minutes in your internet browser. It’s instant to try out.

I would try it out but be warned the game is subscription based with no substance and its pretty boring.

My Opinion: To all the People Suffering from The Kony 2012 Bandwagon Effect

That is wrong on so many levels.

I am sure loads of people have seen the Invisible Children Kony 2012 video (about 81 million in fact) and have been getting all over dramatic with the whole thing.

These are my thoughts on the subject.

My Opinions on the Megaupload issue. The New Picture Adorning Megaupload and the Musicians that should be Ashamed

I love the smell of justice in the morning.

I am sure a lot of people have heard what happened to Megaupload lately. If you don’t know what Megaupload is or what happened then this should help you:

From Wikipedia “Megaupload is an online Hong Kong–based company established in 2005 that ran a number of online services related to file storage and viewing. The domain names were seized and the sites shut down by the U.S. Justice Department on 19th January 2012, following their indictment and arrests of the owners for allegedly operating as an organisation dedicated to copyright infringement.”

My Opinion: Portal 2 Is Now Available

Are we friends? ...No cube we are not.

In case anyone has forgotten Portal 2 is now available. Its been getting good reviews even though a lot of its players have been complaining that the PC version is a console port, it’s too short (less than 3 hours) and that it has day one DLC, all of which isn’t true.

The GLaDOS mini game was basically pointless because it got the game released early but only by a few hours so some people might see it has a rip off especially if they bought those indie games just to help get Portal 2 released early. Of course most of those indie games where good by themselves but you shouldn’t feel that you have to buy them for another game, this means those games weren’t being enjoyed on their own merits.

Crysis 2 PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 screenshot comparison. Which Crysis 2 version should you get?

Knife in the neck.

These are some picture comparisons between the different game platforms and I have added some of my opinions of what I think of the differences between them and whether or not it really matters.

Information about Sony’s new God controller “NGP” (PSP2) which will let you look cool and beat up your friends for points and trophies apparently and more

Now you can play basketball with the universe...

Sony has recently revealed that it is releasing a new PSP. It’s currently called the “Next Generation Portable.” The name reminds me of the Neo Geo Pocket.

The NGP (PSP2) will feature PS3 like visuals therefore basically PS2.5 visulas but bright and colourful to hide this fact. The fact is the original PSP was always thought of having PS2 type visuals but again the technology only gave that impression more than anything else (it was more like PS1.5). For example Metal Gear Solid 2 wouldn’t be playable on an original PSP which is why the PSP Metal Gear Solid games where good but not comparable. Using that same analogy MGS4 wont be the same on a PSP2 as it is on a PS3 whatever they might lead you to believe.

Tell me about... actually don't bother.

Other PSP2 features include two analog sticks (about time, PSP3 will have three) a touch screen, a back that is touch sensitive, two cameras and much more.

Common Fallout: New Vegas Questions and My Opinions

Seriously it's not Fallout 3, it's a new game. Raul here told me so.

Question: Have there been any graphical updates to the game engine?

Answer: Fallout 3’s engine was the natural choice for us, given the timeline we had and what we wanted to accomplish with the game. While we haven’t made direct changes to the engine to support enhanced graphics, we worked on the texture resolutions and made performance tweaks.

My Opinion: So it will basically look the same but sharper and smoother, less bugs. Seems like a repackaging of the old game to make cash from the success of Fallout 3.

My Opinion on Fallout: New Vegas Drugs, Prostitutes, Sex Robots and Rock ‘n’ Roll

While looking at Fallout: New Vegas rating and description at its Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) listing you might be surprised by some of the features it says the new game will have. This is my opinion on the following features and how this could be implemented and whether in general these are a good idea.

  • Male and Female Prostitutes
  • During the course of the game, players will encounter male and female prostitutes: the screen fades to black as suggestive dialogue is heard in the background (e.g., “Nice Charlies, too! Give them a shake for the Ben-man, will ya?”)

Having this in a game isn’t anything new with the Grand Theft Auto series being the masters. In Fallout this will be similar to the scenes in GTA IV when you invite your girl friend over for some ‘tea’. People hoping for a full on simulator like the one which was found hidden in the deep depths of GTA: San Andreas will be disappointed :p. I’m guessing you can’t beat them up for your nuka-cola caps back then. When using a black screen for a sex scene, good voice acting is of course important.
