The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Patch 1.4 is Now Available on Steam

Bethesda have released the latest patch for the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It was available previously to beta test as you can read here. It is now available for download on PC via Steam. Patches for the console versions are being submitted for approval.

My Opinions on the Megaupload issue. The New Picture Adorning Megaupload and the Musicians that should be Ashamed

I love the smell of justice in the morning.

I am sure a lot of people have heard what happened to Megaupload lately. If you don’t know what Megaupload is or what happened then this should help you:

From Wikipedia “Megaupload is an online Hong Kong–based company established in 2005 that ran a number of online services related to file storage and viewing. The domain names were seized and the sites shut down by the U.S. Justice Department on 19th January 2012, following their indictment and arrests of the owners for allegedly operating as an organisation dedicated to copyright infringement.”

Steam Mobile Application Closed Beta has Started. Also Nine Screenshots of the Steam Application [Updated!]

All the fun of the Steam PC version on your phone!

A closed beta for Valve’s Steam mobile application (app) for iOS and Android devices launched today. The Steam application allows players to chat with friends, browse community groups, user profiles, view screenshots, and lots more.

Gabe Newell, co-founder and president of Valve Corporation said “The Steam app comes from many direct requests from our customers,”

I been using this application quite a bit and its pretty good for what it aims to do. Sure you can’t check your games library and play games but anything else Steam can do on PC you can now do on your mobile. It is still in beta so some of the features don’t fully work let.

Neo Geo Pocket Returns with Neo Geo Pocket 2? [Updated!]

Who wants a Neo Geo? I want a Neo Geo!

SNK plans to release an officially licensed portable device that includes twenty Neo Geo games.

According to Famicom Plaza, this system, which has a temporary name of “Neo Geo Portable Device” will have a 4.3 inch screen, two gigs of internal storage, and twenty Neo Geo games built-in. It measures 170 x 72 x 15mm, which is slightly larger than an iPhone.

Update! 31/01/12: There is a site which claims to be the official site for the new Neo Geo. The new handheld is apparently called the Neo Geo X. There isn’t much on the site however you can register your interest in the Neo Geo X. I havent tried it out seeing as it might be a fake site.

Terraria Coming to Physical Stores with Extras and a Bigger Price

Another jolly day spearing unicorns.

Terraria, the excellent Minecraft style adventure platformer, is to get a retail release. For £20 you can get the “Exclusive Collectors Edition” soon in a shop near you. The digital version costs around £5.99 with it at least getting lower costing with various regular sales, which is very good value seeing as all updates are free.

Merge Games, who have previously provided publishing for a lot of casual titles. Are now going to publish Terraria for sale in brick and mortar stores, people still remember those don’t they? They do still exist.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Books #09 A Game at Dinner

One hell of a dinner party.

This is a little series I am starting where I go through several books from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Number #09 A Game at Dinner by An Anonymous Spy.

This book is a spy’s observations upon poison making and a dinner party. It is found throughout many places in Skyrim.

In Skyrim this book gives the reader one skill level in Alchemy.

Syndicate Co-op Demo is Coming Soon

The art of persuasion is an important tool.

The four player cooperative demo for EA’s new Syndicate game will be available on the 31st January for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. EA previously said the demo will only be available for a limited time.

Syndicate releases on 21st February 2012 and is a FPS game compared to Bullfrog Productions original tactical strategy game.

Steam: The Darkness II Demo is Now Available

If only he had a Hitler moustache.

The Demo for The Darkness II was already available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 but now it is available to play on PC via Steam.

From the Official Site “The Darkness II is the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2007 release The Darkness. Inspired by the popular comic book series produced by Top Cow Productions, Inc., The Darkness II is an intense first person shooter that puts you in the role of Jackie Estacado, don of a New York crime family and wielder of an ancient force of chaos known as The Darkness.”
