The Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo Is Now Available

The Crysis 2 multiplayer demo is now available from Steam and many other download sites. It is also available on Xbox 360 with a PlayStation 3 version arriving sometime in the future.

It is 1.5GB in size and contains two playable maps Skyline and Pier 17, both look completely different. Skyline is set on top of a skyscraper in New York while Pier 17 is set in a pier type setting (shock). Pier 17 is the better map because of its variety but Skyline is a good compact map. There are also two game modes, Team Instant Action (team deathmatch) and Crash Site (defend a location).

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Official Trailer

This is the new trailer for the fifth Elder Scrolls game. It tells more about the story and shows of some of the improved visuals over the previous game Oblivion. It also shows how some of the game will actually look like when played. To be honest it just looks like Oblivion with improved visuals and added features. It also reminds me a lot of Dragon Age II. That isn’t a bad thing of course. Dragons are in fashion these days.

Dragon Age II Demo Is Available

The Dragon Age II Demo is available via the official Dragon Age II website. It is 1.9Gb in size and it continues the story of the Dragon Age. Its worth checking out for the free in-game item you get for its completion and for contributing to the target EA have set of getting a million downloads to unlock two further in-game items. Like a lot of preorder items or free items they won’t be anything special. You probably replace them within an hour of playing. Anyway its going to be a good game. The rest of the game will be out on the 11th March 2011. March is going to be a good month for games.

Information about Sony’s new God controller “NGP” (PSP2) which will let you look cool and beat up your friends for points and trophies apparently and more

Now you can play basketball with the universe...

Sony has recently revealed that it is releasing a new PSP. It’s currently called the “Next Generation Portable.” The name reminds me of the Neo Geo Pocket.

The NGP (PSP2) will feature PS3 like visuals therefore basically PS2.5 visulas but bright and colourful to hide this fact. The fact is the original PSP was always thought of having PS2 type visuals but again the technology only gave that impression more than anything else (it was more like PS1.5). For example Metal Gear Solid 2 wouldn’t be playable on an original PSP which is why the PSP Metal Gear Solid games where good but not comparable. Using that same analogy MGS4 wont be the same on a PSP2 as it is on a PS3 whatever they might lead you to believe.

Tell me about... actually don't bother.

Other PSP2 features include two analog sticks (about time, PSP3 will have three) a touch screen, a back that is touch sensitive, two cameras and much more.

Killing Floor Twisted Christmas Event with Special Guest Team Fortress 2’s Pyro and lots More!

Christmas is coming early for all fans of Killing Floor. Tripwire Interactive has announced that the Twisted Christmas event will start next week, just in time for the holidays. Featuring Christmas themed specimens replacing all of the regular baddies, a brand new level – Santa’s Evil Lair, with new Christmas themed achievements with a special unlockable character and an all new difficultly level. Team Fortress 2’s Pyro will make a special guest appearance and be playable. Team Fortress 2 players will be able to get Mr. Foster’s trademark gas mask and business tie as items to be equipped on Pyro in Team Fortress 2.

Cuba Rage Quit Over Call of Duty: Black Ops

Cuba condemns a new video game, where U.S. special forces must try to liquidate the revolutionary hero Fidel Castro who in reality has been the target of numerous assassination attempts.

Cuba’s state media believe that the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops is trying to “legitimise murder and attacks in entertainments name”.

At the same time it is ironic that a video game is trying to accomplish what America have not succeeded in doing in the real world for decades.

Fallout: New Vegas Patch

It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman... No It's a Floating Gecko.

The first patch for the PC version of the game has been released and is automatically downloaded once you start up the game. The patch will apparently fix quest and scripting issues.

Patches for the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game will be released soon.

Bethesda said:

We are currently working on releasing patches/updates as quickly as possible for Fallout: New Vegas, for all platforms… Announcements regarding the patches are forthcoming.

It will get better hopefully.

Nathan Hale Is Dead

R.I.P (Rest In Pieces)

The latest issue of Game Informer has confirmed that Resistance 2′s hero, Nathan Hale is indeed dead. He was infected with the Chimeran virus and hence left Joseph Capelli no choice but to kill him. To prevent Hale from becoming one of those which he fought all his life. This means Hale will deffinetly not be present in Resistance 3 either as a human or a Chimera.
