I said recently I would go into more detail for My Top Twenty Games for 2014 & 2015 which I mentioned in my post for The Best Games of 2014 & 2015 and Other Awards. Well I have finally finished it. Like always to qualify I must have played the game in the last 24 months (2014 & 2015) but the game doesn’t have to been released in 2014 or 2015.
It’s that time of the year again when the weather is bad, tons of sales are going on, presents are being giving and received and you will probably eat too much. However while you are stuffing your face think about all the people in the world who survive solely by purchasing drinks from vending machines, snacks from corner shops, and make a short living enforcing the law. Don’t shoot them, if you can.
Valve Corporation have launched its annual Summer sale on Thursday (as I nearly predicted). Like many of the sales on Steam, most of their games on the service will be discounted. There are new flash sales every twelve hours, community sales and much more. This year Valve have decided to try a different format by introducing a cooperative aspect to the annual sales.
The Steam Summer Sale will last from 11th June to 21st June 2015.

Battle Brothers is an indie, strategy and RPG game developed by Overhype Studios. Each member of your company comes with between one and three random traits which influences their skills and abilities and can impact how much they cost to recruit and their daily wage. There are positive and negative traits with the “Founding Member” one being a special trait for beginning members (now removed). This guide shows all the traits currently available in the game.
Battle Brothers is an indie strategy and RPG game developed by Overhype Studios. Each member of your company can come from a specific background which determines their skills and how much they cost to recruit and their wage. Generally a Sellsword is better than a Servant but a background like in real life isn’t all that matters but has a noticeable impact on a characters starting abilities. Video games developers Nival “Blitzkrieg 3” was announced two years ago in 2013 but has only recently been available to play in a closed alpha and is now available on Steam Early Access. It has been about a decade since Blitzkrieg 2 came out and a dozen years since the first Blitzkrieg game so most people have probably forgot about the game or have moved onto Men of War and Company of Heroes at this point. Is the game still relevant? and even more important is it a good game? This is My Scrambled Thoughts on Blitzkrieg 3.
On the 27th April Battle Brothers developed by Overhype Studios got released on Steam Early Access, I mentioned it on Twitter on release but I finally got around to writing a bit about it. The game is a strategy RPG similar in vain to UFO: Enemy Unknown/X-COM, and Mount & Blade: Warband. It is already a very good even in it’s currently early build state.
New video Game developer Playtonic Games (Founded 10th February 2015) announced recently that a team of ex-Rare veterans would be working on a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie with “Project Ukelele”. The game has tuned out to be called Yooka-Laylee, and is similar to the previous franchise as the title refers to the game two main characters. Instead of Banjo the Honey Bear and Kazooie the Red-Crested Breegull, players will now control Yooka the green bloke with no pants and Laylee the wise cracking lady-bat with a big nose.
Over on Giant Bomb (here) at 07.00pm (BST)/11.00am (PDT)/04.00am (AET) the team will be doing their 4th annual Live Show after a three-year hiatus. These shows normally go on for half of the day or more and are normally filled with loads of special guests, fun, and games as a way to promote their premium memberships.
State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition is a third person, open world, zombie RPG developed by Undead Labs and published by Microsoft Studios as an exclusive for Microsoft platforms on the PC and Xbox One is now available. This new State of Decay is basically a State of Decay Game of the Year Edition with improved visuals, mechanics, new items, and all the old DLC bundled together.
