It is still quite early in the year and I have finally got around to doing my awards for the best games of 2013. I have put together a list of the best PC, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS games for 2013. As these are my choices you will likely be surprised by the results.
The Pokémon Company has now brought the Pokémon Pokédex to iOS. The application allows you to browse the various Pokémon and check out their stats and more. It’s similar to a Pokédex you would find in one of the Pokémon games.
Nintendo of America has confirmed that the release of Animal Crossing: Jump Out for the 3DS will happen early next year in North America with the game coming out in Japan later this year. An Europe release hasn’t been mentioned yet.
Media Create the video games retail sales tracker has published the best-selling video games in Japan for 2011. I would say that Nintendo software and hardware won 2011 overall.
Its interesting that the Sony PSP Go sold 15,563 units in 2011 while its only managed to sell 175,986 units overall. Compared to the Sony PSP which has sold 2,063,609 units in 2011 and sold 8,553,397 units overall.
Why they even bother making a PSP without a UMD slot? what where they thinking? Did they think there customers wont mind buying the same game twice?

The following show the sales for the various platforms and overall top-selling video games. Unsurprising Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and two EA games are the top three overall selling video games of 2011 with EA’s and Activision Blizzard domination of the industry and the popularity of Call of Duty. However that’s not a good thing.
Digital sales are not counted, although they will be soon.

With it being the last day of the year I though I would put together a list of the best PC, PSP, Xbox 360 and DS games from 2011.
To qualify for an award I must have played the game in the last 12 months but the game doesn’t have to been released in 2011. Also if I haven’t played a game yet it can’t be up for an award as I wont know whether its good or not.

Nintendo has publicised its release schedule for early 2012 which features plenty of third-party software. Some classic PlayStation games are coming to 3DS such as Tekken 3 and Metal Gear Solid 3.

The classic Cave Story will be coming to the Nintendo 3Ds as Cave Story 3D (the title originality is mind blowing). It will arrive on the 9th August in America and sometime in September in Europe. The only problem I can find with releasing this game is that you can already play better versions of the game for free on PC, PSP and DS and you can also get it on WiiWare. Making a so called 3D version seems more of a cash in to take advantage of the Nintendo 3DS, 3D gimmick than anything else. Anyway judge for yourself when the game finally gets released.

I hope everyone has a happy and enjoyable Easter whatever you believe in. I messed around in Super Scribblenauts to come up with something Easter related. As you can see God doesn’t seem to approve of Easter turning into a celebration of eggs. He uses a genetically modified winged rabbit to facilitate he’s diabolical plan to steal Easter eggs from children. I’m an atheist so whatever God.
There are various merits in the game you can obtain by doing certain tasks or completing certain goals. Anyone familiar with game achievements will know what kind of things to expect. Each time you complete a merit you get ollars (currency) which you can use to buy avatars.
