The Pokémon Company has now brought the Pokémon Pokédex to iOS. The application allows you to browse the various Pokémon and check out their stats and more. It’s similar to a Pokédex you would find in one of the Pokémon games.
It costs $1.99 and will allow you access to Pokémon from the Unova region (Pokémon 494 to 647). The rest of the regions can be purchased for $5.99 each. So to get all Pokémon will cost you about $26.00.
From itunes.apple.com: “This Pokédex includes data for Unova region Pokémon (National Pokédex numbers 494 to 647) so you can use it to help you with Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, or Pokémon Black Version 2 and White Version 2. Use the Store menu to purchase additional data about Pokémon from other regions.”
Available from the application Store menu:
- Kanto region Pokédex (National Pokédex Nos. 001 to 151)
- Johto region Pokédex (National Pokédex Nos. 152 to 251)
- Hoenn region Pokédex (National Pokédex Nos. 252 to 386)
- Sinnoh region Pokédex (National Pokédex Nos. 387 to 493)
It seems pretty cool and all but it cost too much for the whole collection and that seems pretty odd for something you would buy in an application store. Especially when you can get Pokédex lists for free on the internet. However I would probably get an Android version if one was made.
