Another a few years go by and another expansion is now available for Blizzard Entertainments flagship title, World of Warcraft. This time its called Mists of Pandaria and it features an increased level cap, a new continent to explore, a new playable race and much more.

World of Warcraft: All Races Will Be Available For Free Even Without Future Expansions

The other day Blizzard Entertainment announced that with the release of patch 5.0.4, all the races of Azeroth will be playable by everyone “no matter which version or expansion of World of Warcraft they own” This means that the pandaren who will available in the upcoming expansion World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria will become available to everyone to play regardless whether you own that particular expansion or any of the others.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Opening Cinematic

I love that smile.

Blizzard entertainment have released the opening cinematic for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria the other day during Gamescom. The video shows the Alliance and Horde becoming shipwrecked and what happens next. The cinematic is similar to what happens when you first play as one of the Pandaren in their starter zone.

World of Warcraft Has Lost Over a Million Subscribers Since May 2012

One forlorn looking Pandaren and what the servers will look like one day.

No one can say that World of Warcraft isn’t the master of subscription based MMORPGs but the games number to fluctuate and this is one of those times again. The most recent subscriptions numbers for World of Warcraft were released yesterday in the Activision Blizzard earnings report for the second quarter of 2012.
