Tripwire Interactive have once again returned with a special event for Halloween. Its called the Halloween Horror Double Feature and features a new Halloween map (Club Clandestine), Halloween zeds, new achievements and the Toy Master mod which replaces all enemies with evil toys. It’s also part of the Steam “Free Weekend Weekend” which means Killing Floor is on sale for up to 75% off, free to play over the weekend and offers new bundle DLC (which haven’t been added yet on Steam).
This is a weekly post I do where I highlight some of the posts I have done which you might have missed over the last week. Its been a week all about Christmas, Steam sales and upgrading my PC.
Tripwire Interactive have once again returned with a special event for christmas. Its called Twisted Christmas III: Evil Santa’s Moonbase and features a low gravity moon base map, a dwarven battle-axe, a new character (the Domestic Assistance Robot/D.A.R), two new guns and a new DLC weapon pack available for purchase.
The Killing Floor Halloween Sideshow this year has been replaced with the Hillbilly Horror Event. With all new hillbilly inspired re-skins of the orignal enemies from the game. A new map, fifteen new achievements (six only available during the event), four new weapons and a new playable character, the Grim Reaper.
A new bit of DLC was recently released for Killing Floor. Its called the Ash Hardy Character Pack and it adds a new character to the already existing set of weirdos and freaks. It costs £2.99 which some would say and I agree is quite a bit for one new character. However I think it’s the first female playable character in the game and it has a “custom voice pack”. So it’s probably worth checking out.
The Killing Floor Summer Sideshow event has returned bigger and better than before. All the Summer Sideshow monsters are back which are re-skins of the orignal enemies from the game. They have also added a new map (Hellride), nine new achievements, five new weapons and five new playable DLC characters.
Steam have a sale currently on Killing Floor as part of their Midweek Madness. You can now get it for 85% off.
From Steam “In celebration of passing several milestones like selling 1 million copies, having over 45 million hours of playtime and destroying over 500 million Zeds, save 85% on Killing Floor during this week’s Midweek Madness.”
Over on Steam to celebrate Halloween they have started the 2011 Halloween Sale on loads of scary related video games. A lot of these games are worth buying especially if you don’t have them yet. They should help you get into mood for Halloween, in other words terrified.
I have listed some of the best games below.
To celebrate Halloween Tripwire Interactive has created a special Halloween Sideshow event. Anyone who played the Killing Floor Summer Sideshow or Christmas event will know what to expect.
The creatures are now all dressed up in Halloween inspired skins. They include the Frankenpound, Husk-O-Lantern, Werebunny and more. They have also added seven new Halloween achievements which are set on the map, Bedlam. If you complete all achievements during the event you will get Commando Chicken as a playable character.
The following games can be bought individually or altogether in The Potato Sack (£27.22/€34.47/$38.72/
£108.87). If bought altogether you save more money in the long run than if you were to buy them individually. If you happen to have the game already you can gift it to a friend, which is good.
