The Best Video Games of 2012 and Other Awards

Only after five months I have finally got around to doing my awards for the best games of last year. I have put together a list of the best PC and Xbox 360 games from 2012.

To qualify for an award I must have played the game in the last 12 months (2011-2012) but the game doesn’t have to be released in 2012. Also if I haven’t played a game yet it can’t be up for an award as I wont know whether its good or not.

Twelve New Grand Theft Auto V Screenshots and Also Three New Trailers

Rockstar Games a few days ago released some more screenshots for Grand Theft Auto V and three character trailers. They feature the usual mix of landscapes, vehicles and sand box hijinks. The mask wearing and Heat style heist stuff is looking interesting.

Similar to Bethesda Softworks, Konami have also announced a special collectors edition for their excellent Metal Gear franchise. Next month Konami will be releasing a second collection of Metal Gear Solid titles, exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and will be called “The Legacy Collection.” The reason for this exclusivity is because the original Metal Gear Solid will be included in the collection.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition is Out Next Month

Bethesda Softworks announced last week that they will be releasing the complete Skyrim collection with The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition. It will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on the 4th June in North America for $59.99 and in Europe on 7th June for about £39.00 or more likely £39.99.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Update 9 and Update 10 are Available

Mojang released a two new update for the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft a not that long ago. It includes new things such as “The End”, climbable vines, and two new music tracks, gameplay tweaks, bug fixes and much more.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Patch 1.9 is Available on Consoles and PC

Skyrim patch 1.9 is available for download on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Skyrim newest patch features the new Legendary setting which can be used on skills that are currently at 100. The update was only available as part of the Steam Beta Update for PC but is now official released for PC and Xbox 360.

Nine New Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods DLC Screenshots and Two Video Previews. Also 1.092 Patch Notes

Paradox Interactive announced in January the latest DLC for Crusader Kings II called The Old Gods would be out in early summer. Since then some new screenshots, videos and a patch have been released for this excellent strategy game.
