Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection is Out Next Month

Metal Gear Solid 3 is probably the high point in the series.

Similar to Bethesda Softworks, Konami have also announced a special collectors edition for their excellent Metal Gear franchise. Next month Konami will be releasing a second collection of Metal Gear Solid titles, exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and will be called “The Legacy Collection.” The reason for this exclusivity is because the original Metal Gear Solid will be included in the collection.

The collection will include Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition (with the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition. The package will also includes two digital graphic novels by the artist Ashley Wood.

The other Sony PSP Metal Gear Solid titles, Portable Ops and the Metal Gear Acid games will not be included in the collection. The main differences between the new Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection and old 2011 Metal Gear Solid HD Collection are the inclusion of Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 4, and the two digital comics.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection should be available on PlayStation 3 sometime next month.
