The Open Beta for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin is ongoing and ends over the weekend. In it, you can play multiplayer games against the AI or people.
Frontier Developments have said that the Open Beta is designed to test the stability and network performance. It also is being used to balance the two currently revealed factions and the overall game balance.
Expect to see errors when matchmaking or creating lobbies. There will be graphical, user interface problems and more. You will also need an account to play the game.
If you play the Open Beta, you will get a unique Avatar, Avatar Frame, Banner, and Banner Frame when the game is released.
If you need help playing the game, they have created many tutorial videos, which you can see on the game’s website and YouTube page.
I had a quick go against the AI on PC. It feels a lot like Dawn of War, as I expected. I will probably try it more on Xbox Series X.
I expect there to be other betas in the future. I am probably more interested in the campaign.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin Open Beta is playable from 7th July to 10th July 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X.
