Aperture Science Website has Started an Unknown Countdown Timer. Possibly Portal 2 or Steam Related. Early Portal 2 Release Revealed

Not long now... GLaDOS!

If you go to the aperture sciences website its home page is still christmas related but a hidden page reveals a countdown clock. This clock is counting down to an unknown event. If you work out the time it comes to around 5pm GMT, Friday, 15th April which would be around noon on Friday, 15th April in New York or Friday, 15th April, around 9am PDT for example.

What will be revealed is anyone guess but it’s likely related to the recent annoying Valve ARG (alternate reality game) campaign that’s been happening recently so this might all just be a clever marketing trick or it might reveal a new announcement like Half-Life 2: Episode Three, Half-Life 3, an early release date for Portal 2 on PC or a cake. Whatever the case its intriguing because ticking clocks are normally either a very good thing or a really bad thing.

Crysis 2 Achievements

Every cloud has a silver lining.

This is the achievement list for Crysis 2. These achievements are the same for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The PC version doesn’t have any achievements so you will have to pretend to get them. They are the usual complete a level on various difficulties. They also contain multiplayer ones which are of the usual type. The achievement called “Dedication” (25 G) which requires you to play online 6 months after your first time, is a cheap way to get people to come back at least once after they likely stopped playing. After playing the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo on Xbox 360 I am feeling a bit more optimistic about the games multiplayer credentials. I will most likely review it soon.

There are 50 achievements with a total of 1000 Gamerscore.

Magicka Magicks Guide [Updated!!]

Leg it!

This is a Magick guide for the spell binding game Magicka which see up to four wizards cause chaos with the elements in order to save the land of Midgard from monsters and stop the evil dark sorcerer who has thrown the world into turmoil and besieged the forces of good.

This guide will help you find each Magick spell and how to cast it and the effect each spell has.

I will do some other Magicka guides and get better pictures sometime soon, added typed locations instead.

Snow Globes:

Jacobstown

In the lodge, search the entrance and reception area. This Snow Globe is sitting on a curved desk by some terminals.

Mormon Fort

Julie Farkas has an office inside a tower at the fort. The Snow Globe is on top of a bookcase here.

Lucky 38 Casino

Head to the cocktail lounge and look for the cash register. It’s across from the entrance. The Snow Globe is behind the register.

Vault 21

After you access Sarah’s locked bedroom, grab this Snow Globe off of the table between the two beds.

Nellis Air Force Base

Pete’s makeshift museum holds this Snow Globe. It’s on a table in the corner under a mural.

Hoover Dam

Search the visitor center for a terminal near two curved desks. The Snow Globe can be found on a desk here.

Goodsprings Cemetery

Near the water tower is a patch of upturned soil by a small, rectangular grave marker. The Snow Globe is sitting in front of the marker.

New Perks for Fallout: New Vegas

That perk is so last year.

There will be new perks in Fallout: New Vegas but a lot of the old perks will make a return exactly the same as before or with slight modifications. This is done to counter how easy it was to max out the player’s skills in Fallout 3, most of the skill-boosting perks from Fallout 3 have been removed and replaced. Unlike in Fallout 3 you now gain perks every two levels. There are 88 regular perks, 8 companion perks and other unknown amount of quest perks.

Medal of Honor: Objectives and Tactics

Shaikot Mountains Map

A helicopter has crashed somewhere in the Shahikot mountains. These snow covered mountain peaks, called The Valley of the Kings in the local tongue, has been a rebel hiding place since ancient times. Python 1 is inserted to investigate and look for survivors in these eerie surroundings. As they embark from their helicopter they hear the first crackling sound of a sniper rifle roll between the steep mountain sides.
