Blizzard Entertainment has opened the gates to the open beta for Diablo IV this weekend on PC and consoles. The action roleplaying game allows players to reach level 25.
Last weekend Blizzard allowed people who had preordered the game to play the game. Now anyone can download and play the beta until 26th March.
In the beta, you can play five character classes: Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer, Druid, or Necromancer. Ten characters can be made for each account up to level 25. All characters are deleted when the open beta ends.
The game features couch co-op and online co-op with up to four players. When playing in multiplayer, enemies become increasingly harder, but conversely, you get more experience.
Open Beta rewards
- Initial Casualty Title: Reach Kyovashad with one character.
- Early Voyager Title: Reach Level 20 on one character.
- Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic Item: Reaching Level 20 on one character.
The Diablo IV has mostly been well received. While there have been the usual server issues, which is annoying even if playing single-player. The game has surprised many by being fun when compared to the money train of Diablo Immortal.
Download the Diablo IV beta from the Battle.net game launcher or your console store.
I may post some of my thoughts on the open beta if I have time to play it and write about it.
Diablo IV’s open beta ends on 26th March. The game comes out on 6th June 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X.
