The third game in the Zeno Clash series is now out. Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is an action-adventure game developed by the ACE Team and published by Nacon.
Clash: Artifacts of Chaos takes place in Zenozoik. You play as a martial artist named Pseudo, who is the bodyguard of the Boy, a small creature with healing powers wanted by Gemini, the Mistress of the Artifacts.
Like the other games in the series, the gameplay revolves around melee combat. However, in this game, you fight in the third person instead of a first-person view.
Before combat, you can play a dice game called Ritual, if won, can grant tactical advantages in battle. The game also features character skills and a levelling system.
Unlike the previous games, the world is more open. You are able to explore instead of just being on a linear path. The open world was apparently inspired by Bloodborne.
I am a fan of the series and the ACE Team in general. They always make weird and unique games. This game is no easier compared to the other ones in the series.
You don’t have to have played the first or second games to know what is happening in this one.
The game is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S and X.
