World of Warcraft Patch 5.1.0 is Available

The first major patch for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria is has been released. Its called Landfall and provides plenty of new content and bug fixes.

Patch 5.1.0 highlights:

Two new factions

• Operation: Shieldwall (Alliance).
• Dominance Offensive (Horde).

The Pandaren Campaign

• Horde vs. Alliance conflict ramps up with a new series of daily quests in Krasarang Wilds.
• Players will defend their outpost and attack the opposing faction’s outpost.
• Slaying rival NPCs and opposing faction players earns commendations that can be used for base upgrades and more.
• Players will learn more of the Pandaren lore and more about the Horde vs. Alliance conflict.

New Scenarios

• 5 new Scenarios (2 unique scenarios for each faction. 1 playable by either faction).
• Assault on Zan’Vess (Horde and Alliance).
• Lion’s Landing and A Little Patience (Alliance).
• Domination Point and Dagger in the Dark (Horde).

Pet Battles System

• New rare pets drop from vanilla raid bosses: Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Temple of Ahn’Qiraj and Naxxramas.
• Enhancements to the Pet Battles System UI such as improved sorting, pet levels revealed on the map and more.
• Battle-stones now available to upgrade quality of pets.

Brawler’s Guild

• Very exclusive solo PvE fighting that’s invitation only.
• Gladiator-style fights against Azeroth’s toughest creatures.
• Fights get progressively more difficult.

Raids

• Raid groups are no longer necessary to enter pre-Mists of Pandaria raid dungeons.

Legendary Quest

• Those that have aided the Black Prince in the past will now have new quests to complete as they advance Wrathion’s agenda for Pandaria and their own progress toward Legendary power.
