Three New Screenshots and Seventeen Concept Artworks of XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Planes galore.

The US video game magazine Game Informer have released a video showing some artwork from XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I have taking some screenshots of the art shown in the video to show a quicker look at the various art featured and I have also added the three new XCOM: Enemy Unknown screenshots.

Is it called XCOM: Enemy Unknown or X-COM: Enemy Unknown? All the other games are called X-COM except UFO: Enemy Unknown.

Firaxis Games art director Greg Foertsch was given the task of re-imagining the look of X-COM. By getting rid of the original’s graphic-novel look for a stylised “miniatures” look. He’s team of artists have looked over the details of everything in the original game from the insectoids to the Skyranger and this is what they came up with. Its pretty similar but still good. You think all they had to do was make HD versions of the original.

  1. The hyphen in the title is implied. If you look at the title screen above, you can see the strikethrough on the COM. I think it will normally be written as XCOM.

    Nice screen caps.
