The closed beta for Blizzard’s Diablo III is now available. The first group of invitations have been sent out, with more participants being added later.
The closed beta allows you alone or with your friends to play through part of the game’s first act as any of the game’s five classes, barbarian, witch doctor, monk, demon hunter or wizard. You will able to fight the final boss of the closed beta the Skeleton King, talk with characters in the Sanctuary and mess around with the skill and crafting systems.
“This closed beta test is an important milestone for us as we enter the final stages of development on Diablo 3,” said Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime.
“Our goal is to create the best action role-playing game experience to date, building on everything we’ve learned since the release of Diablo 2 and incorporating the powerful features of the new Battle.net platform. We hope players enjoy participating in the beta test and we look forward to hearing their feedback.”
I didn’t get in the closed beta, typical. From what I seen the beta isn’t very long or that impressive to be honest. Most of the important things that need to be tested aren’t available for example PvP, the full auction house and all the skills and abilities for each character.
