It was Tim Schafer’s first game as project lead and head writer and designer, after having worked on other LucasArts titles including The Secret of Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, and Day of the Tentacle.

Good Game: Discworld (DOS)

Another Good Game

Today its Discworld a 1995 point-and-click adventure game developed by Teeny Weeny Games and Perfect 10 Productions, and published by Psygnosis for MS-DOS (DOS). The game tells a story of Lester, a young scientist who, as a result of an experiment gone wrong, finds himself on a dangerous alien world where he is forced to fight for his survival. The game stars Rincewind the Wizard (voiced by Eric Idle) and is set on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld.

The game tells a story of Lester, a young scientist who, as a result of an experiment gone wrong, finds himself on a dangerous alien world where he is forced to fight for his survival.

Good Game: UFO: Enemy Unknown (DOS)

Another Good Game

Today its UFO: Enemy Unknown (X-COM: UFO Defense) a 1994 turn-based tactical game developed by Mythos Games and MicroProse, and published by MicroProse for MS-DOS and Amiga computers and the Amiga CD32 console. It was also released for PlayStation in 1995. Its European PlayStation release is titled X-COM: Enemy Unknown.

Good Game: Warcraft Orcs & Humans (DOS)

A Good Game a day for the rest of time perhaps?

Today it’s Warcraft: Orcs & Humans a 1994 real-time strategy game, developed by Blizzard Entertainment and published by Blizzard and Interplay Entertainment for MS-DOS (DOS). Sales were fairly high, reviewers were mostly impressed, and the game won three awards and was a finalist for three others.

Today it’s Blood a 1997 first-person shooter video game developed by Monolith Productions and published by GT Interactive Software. The shareware version was released for MS-DOS (DOS) 5th March 1997, while the full version was released on 31st May 1997 in North America, and 20th June 1997 in Europe.
