Developer and publisher Daedalic Entertainment with AtomicTorch Studio is returning to the world of Deponia. Surviving Deponia is a new direction for the point-and-click series. Now focusing on crafting and survival.
Surviving Deponia continues the story of Deponia. In this game, Elysium, the rich citadel floating above Deponia, has crashed into the planet. You will need to gather resources, fight monsters and build a base, all with the aim of trying to escape. There will also be familiar characters and new ones to meet.
If you have seen or played CryoFall, then Surviving Deponia will feel very familiar. It even looks pretty similar. The game also reminds me of Stardew Valley and Don’t Starve in some regards.
I like the style, story, and gameplay of the Deponia series. While this game is a different genre, Deponia fans, I can see enjoying a new take on the world. Now you can use the actual trash that everyone is always talking about.
Surviving Deponia will release for Steam Early Access on PC in 2023.
