Shadows of Doubt is Now Available

He might be the killer you have been looking for.

Developer ColePowered Games and publisher Fireshine Games have released Shadows of Doubt, their anticipated immersive detective game. In it, you solve crimes and track down killers.

The game is set in an alternate late 1970s, where corporations have taken over, and cities are islands. All in the style of a dystopian noir world.

You play as a private investigator working side jobs and solving the occasional murder case. You do this by finding evidence and searching for clues with the help of gadgets and an open world to explore.

You can choose how big you want the procedurally generated city to be, and it will be populated with hundreds of citizens. Each has its own name, job, apartment, and daily routine.

You need to use the limited information available to solve cases at the start. You can discover more by hacking into computers, looking in safes and searching through documents. Other clues can be obtained by scanning prints and examining items.

In Shadows of Doubt, you are free to do what you want. You can be a robber or complete side jobs. As you progress you will level up your Society Rank, and once maxed, you can retire.

Shadows of Doubt has limited side job variety and a few performance issues and bugs. If you like immersive games, you should play Shadows of Doubt. Hopefully, a lot more will be added in the near future.

I have done a review of Shadows of Doubt which you can read here: Shadows of Doubt Review [Early Access].

Shadows of Doubt is now available on Steam Early Access for PC.
