Papers, Please which is dystopian border and immigration management game and made by a single indie developer Lucas Pope has announced that Papers, Please should be out sometime in the summer and it will cost around $10.00 which you can find out for your self if you play the border guard mini game at Papers, Please’s official site.

From dukope.com: “Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission’s primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested.”

The game is looking good and a very unique take on what it must be like to live in the old Soviet Union or any dictatorial state now a days. I like games like this and I also greatly like the concepts and themes in Papers, Please and it also has great music and a well done visual style.

Video Games most of the time should be fun but its good to play something a bit more realistic in terms of atmosphere and seriousness now and again.

Papers, Please will be out in summer and likely quite soon but no precise date is known at the moment. It will cost $10.00 (£6.56) but you can play the beta version for free on the games developers website here and should come to Steam soon too as it’s already been approved on Steam Greenlight.
