I have put together a guide for Lord of the Rings Online 5th Anniversary Festival. The game is celebrating five years and this year’s event goes from 16th April to 30th April 2012.
Also you can get 100% XP bonus from monster kills from 25th April to the end of the event.

Introduction [INT]
Done this guide a bit late but better late than never and it will likely be useful for the 6th Anniversary Festival.
The festival takes place in four major regions in Middle Earth.
- Bree Firework Stand by North Gate.
- Bree Boar Fountain.
- Thorin’s Hall.
- Shire Methel Stage.
Deeds [DEE]
The Mightest Arm
Rewarded for clubbing 200 opponents in the beer battle = The title “Clubber”.
Why Your Head Hurts
Rewarded for winning the beer fight 25 times on expert level = The title “Battered, Bruised and Contused”.
Fireworks: Launch Blue Fireworks
Rewarded for launching 50 blue fireworks = 1 Anniversary Token.
Fireworks: Launch Red Fireworks
Rewarded for launching 50 red fireworks = 1 Anniversary Token.
Fireworks: Launch Green Fireworks
Rewarded for launching 50 green fireworks = 1 Anniversary Token.
Fireworks: Launch Yellow Fireworks
Rewarded for launching 50 yellow fireworks = 1 Anniversary Token.
Fireworks: Launch Orange Fireworks
Rewarded for launching 50 orange fireworks = 1 Anniversary Token.
Fireworks: Launch Purple Fireworks
Rewarded for launching 50 purple fireworks = 1 Anniversary Token.
Fireworks: Master Firework Launcher
Rewarded for completing each of the firework color deeds = 1 Anniversary Token + The title of “Master Blaster”.
Cartographile in Eriador
Collect all 21 maps of Eriador to obtain a Map of Eriador (Only 8 available in this festival) = The title “Eriador Cartographile + 10 Turbine Points.
Cartographile in Moria
Collect all 11 maps of Moria to obtain a Map of Moria for your house + The title, “Moria Cartographile + 10 Turbine Points.
Quests [QUE]
The Anniversary Event:
Quest Giver: Letter in mailbox.
Quest Level: 1+
Rewards: 1 Anniversary Token, Cloak of the Fifth Spring and Anniversary Fireworks.
Repeat: No.
Letter will be sent to your mailbox. Visit all the locations for the anniversary event.
- Visit the beer fight arena in Thorin’s Hall.
- Visit the site of the Shire race-track.
- Visit the site of the Bree race-track.
- Visit the fireworks area near Bree’s North-gate.
- Visit the Methel stage in the Shire.
After go to Percy Brywood in Bree to receive your reward.
Fireworks in the Shire:
Quest Giver: Milo Brockhouse in The Shire, Tookland.
Quest Level: 10+
Rewards: 1 Anniversary Token.
Repeat: Every 10 minutes.
This event happens all day but Bree fireworks show is night-time only. The show will not start unless there are more than one participants.
Talk to Milo Brockhouse on the Methel-stage then wait until the show starts. You will now be able click on the firework launchers to participate in the show.
After the spectators are impressed you can speak to Milo to claim your reward. There is a 3 minute timer for the quest and if not enough fireworks are not fired during time, you will fail the quest.
Firework Explorer:
Quest Giver: Gandalf.
Quest Level: 30+
Rewards:1 Anniversary Token + The title “Firecracker”.
Repeat: No
At the Methel-stage. Gandalf has asked you to travel to locations and fire the appropriate fireworks:
- Launch blue fireworks at the firework show in Bree, near the North-gate.
- Launch red fireworks at Frérin’s Court outside of Thorin’s Hall.
- Launch green fireworks at the Last Homely House in Rivendell.
- Launch yellow fireworks at the Party Tree of Hobbiton in the Shire.
- Launch orange fireworks at the summit of Weathertop in the Lone-lands.
- Launch purple fireworks outside Tom Bombadil’s home in the Old Forest.
Make sure to go to the two Fireworks Vendors near Gandalf to get some fireworks for this quest and if you want to do the various deeds.
Fireworks in Bree:
Quest Giver: Winston Peartree.
Quest Level: 10+
Rewards: 2 Anniversary Tokens
Repeat: Every 30 minutes (night-time only)
At one of the farms around the north side of Bree.
The Fireworks Announcer will call out the fireworks for you to use which you must match 10 times to complete the quest. If you fire thew wrong firework, you will fail the quest.
Sparking an Interest:
Quest Giver: Young Took or Young Brandybuck.
Quest Level: 10+
Rewards: 2 Anniversary Tokens.
Repeat: Daily.
Started at the Bree Fireworks location. During the day they stand in the middle of the fireworks field. At night they are watching the show.
Go around Bree to find ideal places to fire fireworks to get the townsfolk interest in the firework show. There 20 locations for this quest but each location can only be used by one person before you have to wait for it to respawn.
Fire 6 fireworks in ideal locations to complete the quest.
Lost Invitations:
Quest Giver: Percy Brywood in Bree-land, Bree.
Quest Level: 10+
Rewards: 2 Anniversary Tokens.
Repeat: Daily.
This quest requires you to have an Honorary Postman’s Badge item in order to do the quest. You can get these from the Bree Postmaster located next to the quest giver.
You can repeat this quest by buying Badges from the store for 100 Turbine Points.
You are to search throughout Bree-town for envelopes while the envelopes could be nearly anywhere on ledges etc.
Complete the quest by collecting 6 invitations.
The envelopes could contain random extra loot such as horses = Lossoth Steed and Steed of the Dusk-watch. These are 68% speed 250 morale horses.

From Ormur to Rúnulf in Thorin’s Hall Inn.
Quest Level: 10+
Rewards: 7 Anniversary Tokens .
Repeat: Weekly resets on Thursday.
The Gift quests require you deliver one item from one NPC to another.
Completing these quests grants you a 15 minute +10% out of combat run speed buff and reward 1 anniversary token each.
Horse Races [HOR]
Quest Level: 10+
Rewards: 1 Anniversary Race Token or 1 Anniversary Tokens.
Repeat: Daily for both locations.
You need to have the Riding Trait.
A solo race against the clock, you have to get through each gate before the time runs out. It’s similar to the level 20 riding skill quest.
There are two mounts you can get at Hengstacer Farm from Will Peartree:
Anniversary Steed
62% speed 100 morale.
Requires:
- 1 Anniversary Race Tokens.
- 1 document of mount ownership.
- 20 Anniversary Tokens.
Fireworks Laden Steed
62% speed 200 morale.
Requires:
- 2 Anniversary Race Tokens.
- 1 document of mount ownership.
- 40 Anniversary Tokens.
Battle for the Glorious Beer [BEE]
Takes place in Thorin’s Hall festival arena.
Gisli Strongclub gives The Mightest Blow quest and the Dwarf Club of Unimaginable Power.
There are three difficulty levels for this quest:
Basic
- Hit people 8 times with bat.
- Will not fail the quest if you are knocked out of the arena.
- Don’t need to pick up the mug of Glorious Beer.
Reward = 1 Anniversary Token.
Intermediate
- Hit people 8 times with bat.
- Will not fail the quest if you are knocked out of the arena.
- Don’t need to pick up the mug of Glorious Beer.
Reward = 2 Anniversary Token.
Expert
- Hit people 8 times with bat.
- Will not fail the quest if you are knocked out of the arena.
- Need to pick up the mug of Glorious Beer.
Reward = 3 Anniversary Token.
Each round lasts 3 minutes and is repeatable.
Rewards [REW]
Anniversary Tokens can be bartered with the Games Master NPC that can in major cities.

- Spark-Maker’s Pack = 7 Anniversary Tokens.
- Firework Hoodless Cloak = 5 Anniversary Tokens.
- Firework Hooded Cloak = 5 Anniversary Tokens.
- You In a Box = 10 Anniversary Tokens.
- Cake Topper = 10 Anniversary Tokens.
- Firework Launcher’s Face Guard = 7 Anniversary Tokens.
- Silken Dress of Golden Splendor = 4 Anniversary Tokens.
- Silken Robe of Golden Splendor = 4 Anniversary Tokens.
- Cloak of the Shining Star = 4 Anniversary Tokens.
Housing Items
All Moria maps cost 5 Anniversary Tokens each:
- Map to the Walls of Moria.
- Map to the Silvertine Lodes.
- Map of Durin’s Way.
- Map of the Water-works.
- Map of Zelem-Melek.
- Map of Nud-Melek.
- Map of the Foundations of Stone.
- Map of the Redhorn Lodes.
- Map of Zirakzigil.

Gift Boxes [BOX]
Monsters have a chance to drop gift boxes:
- Tin.
- Iron.
- Silver.
- Gold.
- Platinum.
- Ancient Gold.
- Calendard.
You can trade in your box tokens for Marks if you don’t want them. They can be exchanged at Keeper of Gifts NPCs in major cities.
The boxes drops things like XP runes, potions, tokens, skirmish marks, relics, food and cosmetic items.
