Paradox Interactive and Paradox Development Studio have released their new game in the Crusader Kings franchise. Crusader Kings III builds off from their previous experience on games such as Stellaris and Imperator: Rome.
Crusader Kings II is one of my favourite games of all time, but I am a bit uncertain about the new game. While it is easier to get into, it also seems more shallow. Of course, Crusader Kings II with all its DLC is a massive game, but you expect more to be in the new game from the start. It once again feels like it has been portioned off for future DLC. Expect more to be added to the right side of the map eventually.
The second game has constantly been in my Games of the Year. Recently it was my 2019 Game of the Year.

If you have never played Crusader Kings or any other Paradox game then this is a great place to start. It’s also available on Xbox Game Pass so there is no real reason not to try it.
