Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Halloween Trailer is Now Available for All Scaremongers

The classic horror tale of one man and he’s lantern.

The Amnesia: The Dark Descent sequel called, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs which is being developed by the Dear Esther people, thechineseroom have now released a new trailer for the game especially for Halloween.

I played Amnesia: The Dark Descent and it was pretty scary but not as much as everyone on YouTube would have you to believe (those people annoy me). I stopped playing it after I kept getting killed on the bit where you have to go through the water with boxes. Which I thought was a bad idea to include in a game with so much atmosphere that Amnesia: The Dark Descent has. I wanted to play an atmospheric game like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. not a poorly thought out platformer game. Of course the whole game isn’t like that but I wouldn’t know, I didn’t get past that bit and now I wont probably play it again for a long time.

The developers are looking for screams.

From frictionalgames.com: “We want your fear. Record your screams, your whimpers, your blood curdling shrieks of terror and you could star in Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. We are on the hunt for the sounds of fear, panic, terror, anguish, torture and horrid, awful death to include in the soundtrack for Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.”

So if you send a WAVs, OGGs or MP3s of yourself screaming then you could be in the game. They could just go to YouTube and take the sounds from people screaming on that while they play Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The fact they are asking people for help as already put me of the game. It sets a tone of some cheap horror film and not the original game so why bother? Do your own sound effects.

Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs should be out sometime in 2013.
