Valve Corporation has previously stated that the new Payday: The Heist Mercy Hospital map is not a part of Left 4 Dead lore but it’s just an extra for players of Payday: The Heist. The Mercy Hospital heist is for anyone who owns Payday: The Heist. The map involves robbing the hospital for what I assume money or maybe medical supplies (vaccines?) I have no clue but It doesn’t really fit the traditional bank heist motif does it? I just imaging its a NHS hospital.
Mercy Hospital also adds the new Overkill +145 difficulty level, new zombie masks, and a zombie theme. Challenges and Steam achievements are said to be coming later in an upcoming patch.

Mercy Hospital Features:
- New Heist: The Mercy Hospital Heist is available to everyone who owns PAYDAY on the PC.
- New Masks: Players that have “Left 4 Dead” or “Left 4 Dead 2” in their Steam library and have it installed on their computers, are awarded the new zombie masks. Wolf and the gang can now disguise themselves as the walking dead.
- New Theme: Players are now able to choose a new theme inspired by our favorite undead.
Payday: The Heist is available on Steam for £14.99.
