As part of Steams Midweek Madness you can once again get the Potato Sack for a limited time. The Potato Sack Reunion? It is a load of indie games at reduced prices on Steam, all linked together by a potato theme, it led to the Portal 2 ARG. They are now repeating it with a collection of thirteen indie games for £14.99.
It inclides 1…2…3.. KICK IT!, AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!!, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, AudioSurf, BIT.TRIP BEAT, Cogs, Defense Grid: The Awakening, Killing Floor, RUSH, Super Meat Boy, The Ball, The Wonderful End Of The World, and Toki Tori. All together they are worth £54.37 individually. So you can save loads of money (£39.38) if you happen not to own any already. Also each game can be gifted if you already have some of them.
Last time this happened the indie games added potato themed stuff into their games, mostly related to Portal. The whole idea of the Potato sack was that by completing each game would lead to Portal 2 coming out sooner. However it ended Portal 2 to come out a few hours rather than days. Lucky Portal 2 ended up being good.
This is likely just a chance for Valve and other to cash in on some old indie games but it might be an early sign of a new release of a Valve game. However it seems unlikely.
